Lancey is a Toronto based YC company that changes how product teams build and prioritize products that matter. We've raised funding from some of the biggest investors including YC, Garage Capital, Panache and more.

As a co-op on our engineering team, you’ll play a hands-on role in building features and tools that make product management smarter, more collaborative, and more effective. We’re looking for a passionate and motivated software engineering student who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to learn and grow with us.

Joining a small team means you'll learn and do more in 4 months with us than you will in 1 year in a full-time role elsewhere (promise).

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and deploy features across the full stack (front-end, back-end, and everything in between).
• Collaborate with the founding team to understand requirements and build solutions that deliver value for our customers
• Improve and optimize existing features, ensuring a seamless and efficient user experience.
• Contribute to code reviews and help maintain high engineering standards.
• Tackle challenging technical problems that align with your skills and interests.

Projects You Could Work On

• Enhancing our roadmap planning interface for better usability and visualization.
• Building integrations with popular productivity and collaboration tools like Jira, Slack, or Notion.
• Developing advanced analytics dashboards to help users make data-driven decisions.
• Improving the real-time collaboration features within our platform.

To be an effective team member, you will have experience with some of the following technologies:

Programming Languages

• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript

Web Development

• Front-end: Knowledge of React/HTML/CSS
• Back-end: Familiarity with Node.js, Bun, or another back-end framework.

Database Management

• Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

API Development and Integration

• Understanding of RESTful APIs

Version Control Systems

• Proficiency in Git and platforms like GitHub
