With student experience at our core, we are now looking to enhance our admissions experience team. In our pursuit of delivering an excellence customer experience, Passage seeks an Admissions Lead. This role will be critical in the evolution of our international school admissions processes and product. It's important to note that we maintain an in-office working policy, and we require candidates to either reside in Toronto or be open to relocating to the area and committing to a five-day-a-week in-office schedule.

We are hiring multiple people for the role of International Admissions Operations, available at two levels of seniority: Specialist and Lead. Each level offers unique growth opportunities within our organization.

Role Summary

As a an International Admission Operations Lead or Specialist you will play a crucial role in shaping, and executing, the future of our admissions operations. This dynamic role is centred on overseeing the entire admissions process to ensure it's seamless, efficient, and student-focused. Your responsibilities will include building out new policies and procedures, processing applications and documents, and communicating with customers to guide and troubleshoot. This will require meticulous execution, and a strong collaboration with our tech team to optimize and enhance our admissions processes. You'll be primarily responsible for verifying international credentials, adhering to admission criteria and visa regulations, and guiding international students through their journey from application to acceptance.

This position is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and are adept at innovating quickly to adapt to the continuously changing needs of customers and a growing startup. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the admissions process from start to finish, ensuring a smooth journey for international students. This includes application review, document verification, and communication with students and academic departments
  • Ensure international credentials are accurately verified and all processes adhere to the latest admission and visa regulations
  • Actively guide international students through each stage of their application and acceptance journey, providing support and clarification as needed
  • Develop and implement plans to enhance admissions efficiency. Work closely with the tech team to employ technological solutions for process improvement
  • Analyze trends and collaborate with school admission teams and other stakeholders to suggest processes improvements
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, addressing inquiries and feedback from students and their families promptly and effectively

Requirements

  • A wealth of experience across the entire international admissions/ recruitment process, with particular focus in application review, document verification, customer communication and problems solving
  • A background and expertise in verifying international credentials (transcripts, credentials and other documents), from multiple different countries, and awareness of school admission and visa regulations related to study abroad
  • Experience in directly communicating with international students and guiding them through every step of their application and acceptance
  • The ability to adapt to change and problem solve.
  • A strong track record in process improvement, particularly in collaborating with product teams to drive automation and enhance efficiency in processes
  • Excellent communication skills are crucial, along with an innovative mindset to leverage automation in handling customer communication

Additional Requirement for Lead Level Applicants (not required for Specialist candidates):

  • Demonstrated success in leading admissions teams and implementing effective enrolment strategies. Proven ability to build, lead, and scale an teams effectively
