We aren’t just a bridge of financial support; we connect families all around the world to life-changing opportunities. We believe in a world where deserving students are able to pursue their dreams & ambitions even if their parents don’t have money.

Our mission is bold but simple: by 2030 we aim to dismantle all barriers preventing brilliant minds from accessing the opportunities they deserve. Starting with the financial barriers, we’re offering loans to international students and refugees, helping them pursue better education in Canada and unlock a world of possibilities - not just for themselves but for their families and future generations too.

It's important to note that we maintain an in-office working policy, and we require candidates to either reside in Toronto or be open to relocating to the area and committing to a five-day-a-week in-office schedule.

Who you are

You are a mission-driven, type A personality that wants to win by doing good. You are passionately curious, empathetic and driven. You love people, you can comfortably navigate people from many cultures and are incredible at building deep, trusted relationships. You are detail oriented and can deftly help students understand details of the product, choose an appropriate program and help them with their application. Most importantly, you care that every student you work with has such a great time working with you that they tell their friends about the experience.

What you will do

• Counsel students to find their dream program

• Resolve student’s challenges as they prepare & submit their application without any flaw

• Help students understand the recent changes in immigration policy, how that impacts how they should think about the school and programs they choose as well as set realistic expectations for them.

• Provide a empathetic human experience as students navigate a process that will dramatically impact the lives of themselves and their families

• Learn the psychology of students and understand why errors or loss happens throughout various stages of the process to help us build products that automatically serve student’s needs

• Take part in brainstorming better ways to help students, including ways to reach the right students, how to improve processes or product features to constantly improve

Qualifications

• Be excited about working very hard with a small tight-knit team to change the world

• Experience with counseling international students, preferably from different cultural backgrounds

• Have an understanding of the Canadian admissions & study permit processes

Nice to Haves

• 2 - 5 years industry experience in study abroad, international recruiting or immigration

• Valuable second languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Swahili, Arabic, French, etc.

• You were / are an international student or immigrant yourself

• Experience working in a rapidly changing environment like a startup
