We're seeking a software engineer focusing on AI technology to enhance Pathway's functionality and user experience.In this role, you’ll work to integrate the latest AI technologies into Pathway and drive innovation in the development of safe and effective AI for healthcare. As a Software Engineer - AI Focus at Pathway, you'll:

• Prototype and experiment with new AI features
• Integrate new features into Pathway’s core products end-to-end (UI and data)
• Keep up-to-date with the latest machine-learning techniques, tools, and technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement machine learning solutions to address clinical decision-making challenges
• Work to continually improve our engineering processes, tools, and systems that allow us to scale the code base, productivity, and the team

Requirements Expertise in:

• Building products from the ground up, from the data layer (database/API) to the user interface layer
• Relational database systems such as Postgres or MySQL
• NodeJS and/or Python
• Tackling problems end-to-end and being proactive about filling knowledge gaps needed to complete projects
• Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience

Nice-to-haves, but not a requirement:

• Clinical training (e.g. PA, RN, MD)
• Large-scale distributed data processing
• Experience in clinical informatics
• Experience with training/distilling LLMs
• Vector database experience
• Experience with React and CSS
