Our mission is to increase the success rate of small businesses. Traditional banking has been a growth limiter rather than a growth enabler for business owners, and we’re changing that. Relay is the all-in-one, collaborative money management platform. We’re building for employer SMBs and their finance function, internal and external, and are focused on delivering a human-centric customer experience. Ultimately, we help SMBs be ‘on the money'.
Reporting to our Director of Growth, the Lifecycle Marketing Manager sits on the Growth Marketing team and is responsible for creating strategic messaging to help guide users through their Relay journey. You will own campaign strategy and execution across several owned channels, including push notifications, SMS and email. This is an extremely collaborative role, working across teams such as Product Marketing, Product, Content Marketing, Design, Data Analytics, Compliance and Customer Support to create a seamless end-user experience.
Joining Relay means being the first dedicated lifecycle hire on a growing team and setting the direction of our lifecycle strategy to move core company metrics. You’ll be leveraging Relay’s unique data to build campaigns and drive impact to funnels like onboarding and engagement. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage several complex projects across different teams and timelines.
In This Role, You Will:

- Leverage our lifecycle stack, Iterable and Segment, to drive successful targeting and personalization campaigns
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to conceptualize new customer journeys and nurture campaigns
- Launch measurable A/B and multivariate testing across campaigns; continually optimize campaigns, automations, and workflows
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Product and Product Marketing to create a cohesive, relevant customer experience
- Actively monitor, optimize, and report campaign performance on an ongoing basis to ensure campaigns are meeting target KPIs
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor programs and propose innovative tests to help reach target conversion goals
- Build on our lifecycle stack (Iterable and Segment)
What You Bring To The Table:
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, product, or a related field
- Experience with marketing automation or CRM tools (e.g. Braze, Iterable, Marketo)
- Strong editing and copywriting skills, with strong experience in a user-facing copy
- A highly-organized nature with strong attention to detail, clarity and action
- A knack for gathering, analyzing and reporting on campaign data, with the goal of finding opportunities for improvement
- Demonstrated ability to utilize data and insights to drive successful targeting and personalization initiatives
- A resourceful and creative attitude, with the ability to propose, plan and execute campaigns that move core metrics
- You actively seek opportunities to optimize processes, enhance campaigns, and drive continuous improvement within a lifecycle framework
- Experience collaborating closely with other teams, such as design, product, engineering, and legal
- Ability to write liquid logic, SQL, and/or HTML
- Experience marketing an SMB fintech product
- Iterable experience
