Your New Role and Team
Sanctuary is seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our UI and Web Services team to help build our robot control and monitoring console. This Software Engineer role will include full-stack development of web services and applications, deployment, testing, analytics, reporting, and control.
This is a highly complex system with many varying use cases and workflows, and includes extensive interfacing with the robotics team to expose and visualize the internal state and functionality of the system using video, text, 2D, and 3D graphics. Ultimately your efforts will contribute to enhancing our human-robot interface.

  • Design, build, and deploy large-scale streaming services and distributed applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions for robot navigation and user interaction
  • Achieve company-wide visibility as you partner with leaders to ensure smooth deployment and configuration, provide technical support to end users, and structure/update technical documentation
  • Your Experience
  • 5+ years of full-stack web development experience
  • Fluency with Python, Typescript, or equivalent, and comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices
  • Understanding the fundamentals of computer science, data structures, and operating systems
  • Ability to design, implement, and test in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and Cloud platforms
  • Skills
  • Hands-on experience building highly scalable distributed systems in the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with leading System and API design (modularity, scalability, and reliability)
  • A track record of technical excellence and successful projects under minimal supervision
  • Experience in mentoring and leading other engineers
  • Experience with 3D rendering and streaming video delivery
