We are looking for a Deal Desk Analyst to manage contract workflows and the quote-to-cash process. In this role, you will work closely with Tailscale’s Sales and Finance teams to build and maintain scalable processes, advise cross-functionally on contract terms, and identify opportunities to streamline customer-oriented workflows.

This role will report to the Controller and work closely with internal and external stakeholders across a variety of teams. You will be a key player in shaping the future of Tailscale’s customer agreements while contributing to a world-class finance team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Serve as a key point of contact for the Sales team, assisting in structuring and pricing deals to maximize Tailscale’s objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and guidelines
  • Collaborate with various teams (including Sales, Finance, and BizOps) to facilitate deal approvals, resolve issues, and ensure smooth deal execution
  • Ensure hygiene and accuracy of contracts across systems and compliance through partnerships with Sales
  • Assist in developing discounting policies, contract terms, and pricing strategies that optimize revenue while maintaining competitive positioning
  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate the revenue, profitability, and return on investment of potential deals
  • Work closely with Accounting to reconcile and close the books each month

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Enterprise SaaS/B2B industry, specifically with quote-to-cash management, finance operations, deal desk, and/or sales operations
  • Strong understanding of the quote-to-cash cycle and experience in building related processes
  • Proficiency working with contracting systems, payment processors, and ERP systems (e.g. Stripe & Salesforce)
  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
